I have to admit that I am ready ready ready to go home! It is always fun to go out of town, but this has been a very emotional and tiring trip. I am ready to have my whole family at HOME in Bend! We are leaving tomorrow-yippee!!
Sunday we had the morning to ourselves (Donavan, Tyler and me). We went to find a new home for Nutmeg, Donavan's hermit crab. We actually found a cool round one with a green lid. So now Donavan and Nutmeg have a new home to go to. In the afternoon, Donavan went to church one last time with his foster parents. Tyler and I took that few hours and went to see a movie. While we were in the movie, our little guy got pretty sick at church--a bad cold. So, we had to get back to his as soon as we could. He wanted us as soon as he got sick. Wow--we really are parents. We then said our final goodbye to Donavan's foster family and brother. It was very emotional. Tyler and I bonded very quickly with them--and they love Donavan so much. There were a lot of tears. We know we will be back to see them soon!
Today was going to be an OMSI all day day, but we found out that it was closed today. So instead, we went to the Oregon Zoo and the Forestry Center. It was a lot of fun. The baby elephant was out and able to be seen. That was so neat to see. We also discovered that Donavan gets cranky when he needs food. :) Tonight, we are going to pack and take it easy since we drive home tomorrow. We have our final appointment with his counselor and then we drive back to Central Oregon.
We love you and can't wait to see you!
